The only way I know of to get it back is to again drag the Data Items from the Pivot Table Field List.

Which feels so wrong.:banghead: Now for the question; is there any way to make the Data drop down menu stay in the pivot table even though only one Data Item is selected BTW, the drop down menus for the Column and Row Fields do not disappear when only a single item from them is selected, it only happens with the Data Items.

When there is only one item of Data it appears at the top left of the Pivot Table as eg Sum of Value.

When there are more than one you get the Data dropdown and the text appears within the Pivot Table.

I need to make multiple charts based on that pivot table and it would be so much easier if Data Items could be hidden and not removed.

In cell A2 if the value A then allow both positive and negative integers.

I have attached sample data, i need someone to help me convert the left side to how the data looks on the right.

The only solution I know is to record a macro to reapply your formatting automatically.
